The old adage goes, "you only need chiropractic care as long as you want to be healthy".

When adjustments are made to your atlas vertebra, they need to be extremely precise. As a Chiropractor I don't trust any practitioner to touch my cervical reason unless they are a Black Belt in the cervical field. 

Think of a NUCCA Chiropractor as a black belt in the field of spinal adjustment.

After graduating as a regular Chiropractor we go back to school for years yet again to specialize in our medical art and skill.

A notable detail that you should know about me. 

Since I am the only NUCCA Chiropractor for nearly 150 miles in any direction, when I need an adjustment, and that is once every two weeks, I choose to go down to Newport Beach California. 

I understand the value of having my atlas vertebra in alignment. We have several excellent chiropractors within 10 miles of our home. They are not N.U.C.C.A. certified Chiropractors.  Understanding the value, I choose to go to a nucha chiropractor several hundred miles away.

When we go, we make a day of it since it is so far but it is worth every minute. Since our destination is a very nice area we often schedule a nice seafood lunch along with the trip. I try to take a driver with me because of the value of this percision spinal adjustment. I understand that the utmost care must be taken with this area of my neck so not only do I travel many miles and many hours to get it, I treat myself with the utmost of care during and after the adjustment. 

What I really want you to know.

I of all people understand the value of this procedure and how careful I need to be in this region of my body. When this level of care is taken to be good to your body and give it what it needs, you cannot help but reap the rewards of a long, healthy life. 

Here is what happens on your first visit. 

On the first visit we determine whether or not the patient is in need of spinal correction by assessing the condition of your spine. One of the ways we check your spinal alignment and balance is referred to as a leg check.

A neurological disturbance in the cervical area produces a distortion along entire spinal column and pelvis. The pelvis tips and or twists which makes one leg pull up slightly.

This is known as spastic contracture.

The ability to make an accurate leg checked involves training, practice, and experience. These checks determine what is wrong by measuring the observable effects of the problem. 

In other words, if you are out of alignment your legs usually are un-even.
